Hello tumblr and world! Welcome to Travel like a Vagabond - a blog about traveling around the United States (and one day maybe the world) while spending way less than the average tourist.
We’ll start our travels on September 1st for an entirely different project, and we will start posting original reviews from our travels across the United States well before the end of September. Until then, we’ll be reviewing thrift stores, cheap restaurants, etc. in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area while also sharing others’ dirt-cheap travel reviews from the internet. We’ll also be posting more general advice on thrifty travel basics.
Once we’re on the road, you can expect well-organized, thorough and comparative reviews of thrift stores, cheap eats, dollar stores, flea markets, etc.
We also plan on sharing stories about our travels, the people we meet, interviewing locals, and other cool stuff.
Places we’ll be traveling: DFW, El Paso, Austin, Oakland, San Fransisco, L.A., Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Denver, Santa Fe, Madison, Chicago, D.C., NYC, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, and lots of places in-between.
